2007 lunapark Coming to my senses /Riprendere conoscenza Rome
The OLD COBBLESTONES & NEW STEEDS (2005) series shows only the shadow of something that for modern city dwellers can be seen to represent speed, mobility and independence. I wanted viewers to observe what lies beneath the shadows, the patterns of the past. The four photos also represent the passage of time, one day from morning till night, the morning sun and the hours in between and the evening sun. By observing what isn’t there you begin to give attention to what is truly there.
La serie Vecchi sampietrini & cavalli moderni (2005) mostra solo l'ombra di qualcosa che per i moderni abitanti delle città può rappresentare la velocità, la mobilità e l'indipendenza. Volevo che l'osservatore vedesse ciò che sta dietro le ombre, dietro i modelli del passato. Le quattro foto rappresentano anche lo scorrere del tempo, un giorno dal mattino alla sera, la luce del mattino, le ore intermedie e la luce della sera. Prendendo atto di ciò che non c'è, si inizia a fare attenzione a ciò che c'è veramente.
